Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before booking a trekking, skiing, snowboarding, or survival skills course with Choiee.

General Questions

01Do I need any experience to join a Choiee course?

No. Choiee courses are built for beginners and adventurers trying trekking, snowboarding, or survival skills for the first time. Every booking starts with an assessment of your fitness, experience, and goals, and we match you to the right route, coach, and coaching ratio from there.

02Do I need to bring my own gear?

No. Trekking, skiing, snowboarding, and survival equipment is prepared and safety-checked before every course. Just bring suitable clothing and personal items — the team confirms exactly what to pack when they reach out.

03How do I book a course?

Fill in the booking form with your name, a phone number or email, and the course you're interested in. There's no account to create and no online payment. The Choiee team reviews your request and confirms a route and schedule within 24 hours.

04Where is Choiee based and where do courses take place?

Choiee is based in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City. Courses run on real, scouted mountain routes and dedicated snow slopes that the team travels to — the exact destination and logistics are confirmed with you before the course.

05What does the weekly schedule look like?

Sessions run Monday to Saturday with early-morning (06:00), morning (08:00), and evening (17:00) slots, so the timetable works around a 9-to-5 as well as a free day.

06Can I cancel or reschedule?

Yes. Cancellation and rescheduling are free up to 48 hours before your course starts.

07Is the site available in English and Vietnamese?

Yes. Choiee is fully bilingual — Vietnamese at choiee.com and English at choiee.com/en. Use the language toggle in the top navigation to switch.

08Are learner progress videos really free?

Yes, always. Every course includes edited progress videos and feedback after each session, filmed on everything from action cams to professional cameras and ready to share.

Skiing and Snowboarding Questions

09What is covered in the Snow / Ski and Snowboarding courses?

Our snow courses cover edge control, stance, balance, carving turns, slope navigation, mountain safety, and avalanche awareness tailored to your starting level.

10Is skiing and snowboarding gear included?

Yes. Premium skis, snowboards, boots, bindings, helmets, and protective gear are fully prepared and safety-checked ahead of every session.

11What is the difference between private 1:1 and small group 1:4 snow packs?

The private 1:1 pack gives you full-time dedicated coaching and a personalized progression schedule, while the 1:4 pack offers small-group guidance on scouted slopes at a shared per-person rate.

12Can complete beginners learn snowboarding safely?

Yes. Our certified coaches start with balance drills, safe falling techniques, and gradual slope progressions on gentle terrain to ensure confidence and safety from day one.

13How long are the snow and ski courses?

Snow / Ski courses start at 6 training sessions, each building on the last, taking you from initial fundamentals to a confident descent on real slopes.

14How is training on the simulator different from the outdoor slope?

They are two stages of the same course, not two options. The Endless simulator is where you build your stance, edge-change technique and balance reflexes — you can repeat a single movement as many times as you need, independent of season or weather. Once the movement is consistent, you take that same technique to a real outdoor slope, with real speed, gradient and terrain, and a coach on every run.

15Does the course cover advanced technique, or is it beginners only?

Both. Beginners start with stance, how to fall safely, edging and controlled stopping. Riders who can already link turns move on to continuous edge changes, speed control on steeper gradients, and technique corrections from their progress video. Every first session starts by assessing where you actually are, so the content matches your level.

16Do snowboarding skills transfer to sandboarding?

Yes. Sandboarding and snowboarding share the same technical base: your stance on the board, how you shift weight, using the board's edge to turn and control speed, and how to fall safely. The main differences are the friction of the sand surface and how you maintain the board. Riders who learn snowboarding with Choiee routinely take the same skills straight to the dunes.

Trekking & Survival Questions

17What courses does Choiee offer?

Two: Snow / Ski, and Trekking & Survival Skills. Both follow scouted routes with fully prepared gear and an experienced guide.

18What's the difference between the 1:1, 1:4, and 1:6 packs?

Only the coaching ratio. Every pack includes a scouted route, fully prepared gear, and a private guide — the packs differ in how much one-on-one attention you get: private (1:1), small group (1:4), or group tour (1:6).

19How much does a course cost?

Snow / Ski is 6,000,000 ₫ per person private (1:1) or 4,000,000 ₫ in a small group (1:4); Trekking & Survival Skills is 5,000,000 ₫ per person per tour. Prices are per person and may vary by season and route — the final figure is confirmed when the team reaches out.

20How long is a course?

Snow / Ski courses start at 6 training sessions. Trekking & Survival Skills is priced per tour, with length depending on the route.

21Are the trekking routes real?

Yes. Every route is one the Choiee team has actually scouted and run — not a classroom simulation or a generic trail description.

22Who are the coaches?

A snowboarding coach, a strength and endurance coach, and a trekking & survival coach — each with real field experience leading groups across different routes and conditions.

23What actually happens on a course?

Every pack follows the same four steps: assess and match you to a route and coach, prepare and safety-check gear and lock in the route, coach you on-site at your booked ratio, then track and refine with progress videos and feedback after each session.

24Is snowboarding gear included in the Snow / Ski course?

Yes. Snow and ski gear is prepared and safety-checked for you ahead of every Snow / Ski course.
